Ann Marie Warmka, 83, of Norwalk fulfilled her worldly journey on her 83rd birthday on Friday, Dec. 18, 2020, at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse.
She was born Dec. 18, 1937, to Bernard J. and Apollonia L. (Ashbeck) Altmann in Blinker, Wis. Ann graduated from Auburndale High School. After high school, she worked for the Marshfield Clinic. She was united in marriage, and to this union, five children were born. She was a farm wife and raised her five children in Junction City. On Jan. 17, 1976, Ann was united in marriage to James Warmka. Together they moved to Norwalk. Ann worked for Spartek in Sparta and later for Cardinal IG in Tomah. She retired in 2009.
She was a faithful member of St. John’s Catholic Church and belonged to the PCCW. Ann was an avid Packer fan and Brewer fan and loved watching Aaron Rogers. Spending time with family and friends, playing canasta and dominos, baking delicious cookies and treats, and watching the wildlife were some of Ann’s favorite things to do. Ann was kind, compassionate, and an exceptionally good listener and prayer partner. She will be dearly missed by those who love her.
She is survived by her children, Randy (Julie) Brock of Veron, Texas, Sue (Jeff) Johnson of Kendall, Robert “Bob” (Dawn) Brock of Shawano, Wis., Roger (Daelynn) Brock of Elroy, and Roy (Jeanne) Brock of Holmen; two stepchildren, Tuesday (John) Shannon of Florida and Heather (Shawn) Hidle of Ripon, Wis.; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one expected great-grandchild; five brothers; two sisters; and many other nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jim.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 504 Enderby St., Wilton. Father John Ofori-Domah will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited for a time of visitation on Tuesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
