A host of local holiday events are scheduled this month, including the following:
Friday, Dec. 9
• 10 a.m. — Ontario Public Library’s annual holiday sale of baked goods. Proceeds benefit the Ontario Public Library.
Saturday, Dec. 10
• 8–11 a.m. — Kendall Lions Club’s Breakfast with Santa at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Parish Hall, 301 Spring St. No charge, but donations will be accepted
• 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Ontario Old-Fashioned Christmas in the Ontario Community Center (former Ontario Elementary School gymnasium), Church Street. Santa will arrive at 11:30 a.m. Food, crafts, games, vendors, door prizes, pinatas, cake walk, gingerbread house contest.
Sunday, Dec. 11
• 1–5 p.m. — Tor’s Country Christmas Show at the Kendall Community Hall. Entertainment by Maggie Mae, Eric Nofsinger, Leroy Peterson, Jim Robertson, Kevin Downing, Carol Clement, Trent Eness and others. Freewill donation. Kendall Community Club will serve refreshments.
• 3:30 p.m. — Tomah Concert Association will present a community Christmas concert featuring Wilton native Aaron Scott and his band One Way North, along with other singers, at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11, at the Tomah High School auditorium. Scott’s mother, Debbie Anderson of Wilton, along with family and friends, will do the first half of the concert, performing well-known and new Christmas songs. During the second half of the concert, Scott and his band will perform. Scott was a competitor on season 19 of “The Voice,” landing on Blake Shelton’s team. General admission to the concert is $10 per person.
Saturday, Dec. 17
• 11 a.m. — Dorset Valley Christmas, 26147 Hwy. 71, rural Wilton. Santa Claus from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Sleigh rides from 12–2 p.m.; Jim Olsen performance from 4–5:30 p.m. Admission is canned good (blanket, sweater, winter wear, etc.) for the Wilton Food Pantry.
• 5 p.m. — Wilton Public Library Christmas dinner. Sign up by 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12, at wiltonlibrary@wrlsweb.org or (608) 435-6710. Santa will visit at 7 p.m. Holiday bingo and kids’ crafts.
