Debbie Kay (Orethun) Kroeger, 55, of Conover, Wis., passed away April 16, 2012.
Debbie was born Dec. 13, 1956, to Alonzo “Nuck” and Arlene (Rumppe) Orethun. After graduating from Brookwood High School, she attended college and achieved a master’s degree in business administration.
She married Jeff Kroeger, and while they lived in Brice Prairie, Wis., Debbie worked at Gateway Transportation. Then, for many years, she worked at Ashley Furniture in Arcadia, Wis. Later, the family moved and settled in Conover, Wis. There, she owned and operated the MNL Resort and worked at Ministry Health Care in Eagle River, Wis.
She raised and is survived by her three children, Matthew (fiance Ashley Horoff) of Holtville, Calif., Nicholas of Waunakee, Wis., and Lucas (Bubba) of Houghton, Mich. She is further survived by her mother, Arlene of Ontario; her sisters, Cindy (Ray) Loendorf of Tomah, Tammy (Mark) Smith of Ontario, and Penny (Jody) Harr of Sparta; her sister-in-law, Alice (Jerry) Johnson of Tomah; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and good friends.
Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Alonzo, and her brother, Ricky.
