Glen E. Riffle Sr., 75, of Tomah died Saturday, March 24, 2012, at the Rolling Hills Rehabilitation Center in Sparta.

He was born May 19, 1936, to George and Hazel (Coleman) Riffle in La Crosse. He was united in marriage to Hazel Anderson in 1961 at Ontario. For more than 33 years Glen, worked as a semi truck driver. He worked for Keene’s Transfer in Tomah and for various other trucking companies over the years. Glen spent more than 33 years on the road. He enjoyed the opportunity to see the United States, and when his children were grown, Glen and Hazel would travel together.

In his earlier years, Glen enjoyed spending time with horses and camping. Later in life, he enjoyed going to his “weekly auctions.” He was a member of the CB club for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Hazel of Tomah; four children, Terry (Belinda) Anderson of Dodgeville, Wis., Glen (Mary) Riffle Jr. of Tomah, Renee (Robert) Triggs of Tomah and Richard Riffle of Tomah; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Gladys Timm (Marv) of Portage, Wis.; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 29, at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau St., Tomah. Burial will be in Mount Vernon Cemetery.
