The Rails-to-Trails Marathon in Norwalk will be this Sunday, Oct. 2, and you may still enter.
Online registration is open until 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, and individuals may register on race day at the Norwalk Village Park prior to their race. Registration fees are $95 for the marathon, $80 for the half marathon, $30 for the 5K, and $15 for the one-mile fun run.
Starting times for the races are 7 a.m., early start for walkers; 8 a.m., full marathon; 9 a.m., half marathon; 10 a.m., 5K; and 11 a.m., 1-mile fun run.
All four races start and finish at the Norwalk Village Park on Highway 71.
All proceeds from the races are used for community enrichment and enhancement. Projects have included scholarships for local graduates, equipment for local parks and community center, creek restoration, and multiple other endeavors impacting the local quality of life.
