Alfrieda K. Dunnick, 81, of Mount Tabor, Wis., passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at Gundersen St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hillsboro.
She was born Dec. 1, 1940, to Anton and Pauline (Schaub) Weber in Munich, Germany. Following the family return to the United States, they lived in the Cashton area, and Alfrieda graduated from the Wilton High School.
Alfrieda was united in marriage to Lynn G. Nelson on May 19, 1962, in Racine. They lived in Racine for several years prior to moving to Mount Tabor in 1985, where they operated the Mount Tabor Bar from 1985 to 1989 and he did automotive work. Lynn preceded her in death on June 13, 2002.
Alfrieda later married John S. Dunnick in 2006, and they continued living in Mount Tabor.
She enjoyed motorcycle riding and traveling in the RV.
Survivors include her husband, John S. Dunnick; her son, Richard (Shari) Nelson; her daughter, Melodie Lanegran (Bill Zeien); a stepson, John J. Dunnick; her grandchildren, Amy, Daniel, Scott, Joshua, Jessica, Joanne, Jeremy, Richard, Hunter and Savanna; several great-grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter; and her brothers, Leo, Richard and Rudy Weber.
In addition to her husband, Lynn, she was preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Pauline; her stepfather, Emil Zinke; and her sisters, Anna, Emila and Betty.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 20, at 11 a.m. at Burr Wesleyan Church, S1728 Cty. Highway V, Hillsboro, Wis., with Rev. Jason Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery at Mount Tabor. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 10–11 a.m.
