David Lee Zirk, 82, passed away Sept. 23, 2021, at his home in Stillwater, Okla.
He was born May 2, 1940, on the home farm in rural Elroy, Wis., to Paul and Glenn (Thompkins) Zirk. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in rural Elroy. He attended Warner Country School and graduated from Kendall High School. While in school, he played football and was a member of the FFA. He worked with his father on the family farm, Zirkmead Guerseys, raising registered dairy cows. David took care of his parents throughout their lives.
He married Patricia Moffit on Valentine’s Day, 1981, at Grace Lutheran Church in Elroy. He had one son named Paul, after his grandfather. After retirement, Dave and Pat moved to Stillwater, Okla.
Dave is survived by his wife, Patricia; his son, Paul; his brother, Rodney (Thyra) Zirk; his sister, Joanne (Junior) Pasch; his brothers, Stanley (Donna) Zirk and Carl (Jean) Zirk; his sister-in-law, Betty Jean Zirk; and many cousins and dear friends.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents; a 6-year-old brother, Donnie; a brother, Robert Zirk; and his sisters, Frieda Petersen and Shirley Amberg.
