County Highway A between King Road and Jungle Road, south and east of Tomah, was closed to all traffic beginning Monday, Oct. 29.
The highway is closed for final grading and paving; the closure is expected to remain in effect 24/7 for about two weeks.
Work schedules and progress will be dependent upon weather conditions.
King Road is about 2.3 miles east of Highway 131, and Jungle Road is about 1 mile west of County Highway N. An official detour route will not be established. Local roads may not easily accommodate all types of traffic.Highway users are encouraged to identify alternate routes.
Reasonable access will be provided for residents within the project area. Law enforcement and emergency response will continue to have access at all times.
Advance notification signs will be posted.
