Wildcat Mountain State Park will host Summit Players’ “Shakespeare in the Park” on Friday, July 13. The following is the schedule.

• 5:30 p.m. workshop — “Playing with Shakespeare: Get Outside with Will”

This workshop focuses on helping workshop attendees develop the tools to fully understand and engage with the performance through embodying Shakespeare’s characters and exploring his language. This will be a 45-minute workshop introducing kids (and adults who would like to partake) to Shakespearean text, general theatre practices, and how Shakespeare used nature in his plays.

• 7 p.m. performance

Following the workshop, the Summit Players will then perform a 75-minute production of one of Shakespeare’s plays using just the seven members. Catch the Summit Players’ brand new production of Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night,” complete with love triangles, practical jokes, and thrilling duels … sort of. Six actors. Seventy-five minutes. One funny play. Summit Players’ shows are madcap and high-energy and use humor and music to engage audience members of all ages. Audiences participate in the action as they provide sound effects and create the environment of the show itself.
