A 30-year-old Sparta man was killed Friday after he lost control of his Toyota Corolla on Highway 71 in the town of Wilton, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
At about 6:44 p.m., Joshua Wesoloski was traveling westbound near the intersection with Livingston Road when his vehicle struck a guard-rail end, went into the south ditch, rolled over several times, vaulted over a creek, and landed on its roof.
The Monroe County Medical Examiner pronounced Wesoloski dead at the scene.
Monroe County Sheriff’s Office also was assisted by the Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office, the Wilton Ambulance Service, the Wilton Fire Department, Lar’s Towing of Norwalk, and the Monroe County Highway Department.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and the Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating the crash.
