Vernon County Crimestoppers is seeking tips regarding a vehicle and driver involved in a hit-and-run crash in Ontario last month.

The crash occurred on Madison Street in Ontario, likely between 12–3 a.m. Saturday, May 20, according to Ontario Police Chief Philip Welch. The vehicle left the roadway on Madison Street and struck a car parked in a driveway while nearly striking a tree and a fire hydrant, he said. It also went over a few culverts.

It got back on the street, and then missed the curve and went through another yard before getting back on the street again, Welch said.

The vehicle is though to be a Chevrolet Cruze, probably a 2012 model, he added. It sustained damage to the front passenger side, including damage to the bumper and light fixtures, and it lost the entire plastic guard on the inside of the wheel well, Welch said. It likely has a loud exhaust, and it could possibly be red.
