Donald F. Olson, 67, of Elroy passed away Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016, at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Tomah after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. 

He was born May 5, 1949, to Kenneth and Marie (Schwedrsky) in Mauston.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce; his children, Stephanie (Cory) Novachek, Kimberlie (Pat) Hart, and Ryan (significant other, Darcy Uppena) Olson; 12 grandchildren, Mallory, Mitchell, McKenna, Madelyn, Hayley, Spencer, Olivia, Emily, Molly, Bryce, Brynn and Kael; a great-grandchild, Jaxtin; his twin brother, Ron (Vicki Nofsinger) Olson; a brother, Gary Olson; two sisters, Joann Sukkert and Jean (Greg) Sparks; his father-in-law, John Warsaw; three sisters-in-law, Judy (Rick) Gnewikow, Jeannie (John) Morris and Jennifer (Gary) Budde; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Marie Olson; his mother-in-law, Beverly Warsaw; a brother-in-law, Jim Warsaw; and a nephew, Luke Olson.

A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Elroy American Legion. The Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
