Author and retired Lutheran pastor Bill White of Madison will discuss his newest novel, “Little Oslo,” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, at the Vernon County Museum in Viroqua.

White will discuss his story about baseball, love and growing up in a small Wisconsin town in the 1950s. The program is free, and refreshments will be served.

The author grew up in Viroqua, where his mother, Rhoda White, was active in the Vernon County Historical Society and served as the curator of the museum in the 1960s. “Little Oslo” recently was broadcast locally on WDRT radio during the “Page-Turner Radio” program. White read the novel for the broadcast, and the program is available in the archives at WDRT.org.
