The University of Wisconsin-Extension will host a beef cow-calf workshop at the Scenic Bluffs Community Health Center conference room in Cashton on Tuesday, Sept. 27. 

The workshop will start with a complimentary light supper at 5:45 p.m. The program will start at 6:30 p.m. and focus on mineral nutrition for the cow-calf operation, weed and brush management in pastures, and grazing cover crops.

The speakers will be Dr. Patrick Gunn, a cow-calf specialist at Iowa State Extension who will speak via live webinar, and Bill Halfman, UW-Extension ag agent.

The workshop will be free, thanks to the support of the Western Wisconsin Beef Producers, Scenic Bluffs Community Health Centers and the UW-Extension of Grant, Lafayette, Buffalo and Monroe counties. Pre-register by contacting the Monroe County Extension office at 269-8722 by Friday, Sept. 23.
