Janice Belsky, 91, of Whitewater, Wis., and formerly of Janesville died Monday, March 7, 2016, at Fairhaven-Hearthstone Nursing Home in Whitewater.
She was born in Ontario on Aug. 14, 1924, the daughter of Earl T. and Linda (Schmidt) Brey. She graduated from Ontario High School and retired from General Motors. Janice married John Belsky in Mauston on Dec. 10, 1971.
She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, John Belsky; her five children, Linda Kohn of Richland Center, Ronald Parish of Tomah, Danny (Pam Jones) Parish of Janesville, Douglas (Kathy) Parish of Janesville and Janet (David) Schlicht of Mauston; 11 grandchildren, Corri, Kelly and Kristi Kohn, Jeffrey (Sara) Parish, Bryan Parish, Lisa (James) Stoikes, Nicole (Tim) Voigtman, Travis (Lisa) Parish, Tia (James) Martinez, Jacalyn (Brooks) Schommer and Scott (Amy Nicholson) Schlicht; 12 great-grandchildren, Alex, Austin, Treyton, Adeline, Rhianna, Emma, Dominic, Kartyr, Greyson, Fox, Chloe and Luciana; a sister, Carol (Jay) Buswell of Janesville; a sister-in-law, Nancy Brey; a stepbrother, Jim (Jeannie) Brey; her brothers and sisters-in-laws, Tom and Quetta Belsky and Joe and Joanne Belsky; and many nieces, nephews, and special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepmother, Perle Brey; a son-in-law, Coy Kohn; a daughter-in-law, Carol Parish; a granddaughter, Lori Kohn; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Marvin Truesdill and Clea and Norman Surbeck; her brother, Sonny; and her sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and John Fleming.
