Judith “Judy” Burch-Jackson, 74, of Mount Tabor passed away Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015, at Milestone Memory Care in Hillsboro after a long, courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Judy was born on South Ridge, Wis., on June 8, 1941, to Fred and Evelyn (Kinnear) Kreiger. In 1959, she married Ron Burch Sr. in Iowa. He later passed away. In 1990, she married Robert “Bob” Jackson in Mount Tabor, where they ran the Mount Tabor Bar for 10 years.

Judy was proud to be one of the charter members of the Ontario American Legion. She held office as president, along with many other roles within the organization. She was a very hard worker and she was employed at Meca Sportswear in Ontario for many years. She also worked at Gerber in Reedsburg for a few years.

Judy is survived by her husband, Bob; her children, Cheryl (Larry) Starkey and Ronald (Anna Fuller) Burch Jr.; her stepchildren, Tammy (Steven) Novy and Rob (Becky) Jackson; her grandchildren, Bobby (Liz) Burch, Amanda Dalberg, Ashley (Matt) Hastings, Russell Jackson, Randall Jackson, DJ (Kathy) Madison, Adam Madison, Teresa (Brandon Steinmetz) Starkey and Tina Voltz; her in-laws, Evelyn Marshall, Elaine Krieger, Regina Puhl, Cheryl (Wayne) Mattison, Susie (Ron) Mislevecheck, Jim (Monica) Burch and Howard (Sadie) Burch; 20 great–grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, including the Milestone Senior Living family.

Judy was preceded in death by her first husband, Ronald Burch Sr.; her parents, Fred and Evelyn Krieger; her in-laws, Russ and Audrey Burch; her brother, LeRoy Krieger; her sisters-in-law, Berniece Hoppenwrath and Violet Williamson; her great-granddaughter, Harley Starkey; her niece, Deb (Krieger) Welsh; and her nephew, Michael Burch.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 26, at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church on South Ridge. Pastor Steve Neuman will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery on South Ridge. Family and friends are invited for visitation Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church. The Torkelson Funeral Home in Ontario will assist the family with arrangements.
