Ronnie A. Rueckheim, 65, of Cashton died unexpectedly Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015, at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse.
He was born Oct. 9, 1950, to Leonard and Sophie (Clair) Rueckheim. Ron, a graduate of Brookwood, married Nancy Ferson on April 24, 1974, in Long Grove, Ill. Ron farmed for 25 years, worked for Kraemer, farmed for Jan Corbett, owned his own construction business, drove for MMT, and owned and operated his own dump truck.
He loved spending time with his grandchildren, working with his nephew Tony Bagstad on his racecar, watching NASCAR, and riding motorcycles and snowmobiles.
Ronnie is survived by his wife, Nancy; a son, Lucus (Leigh), and a daughter, Cody (Thad) Ludeking; his grandkids, Thane and Zoey Ludeking and August, Jonas, Elizabeth and Abe Rueckheim; his brothers, Dean, Lyle, Lavern (Bonnie) and Paul (Cindy); his sisters, Martha (Warren) Trager, Pearl Rueckheim, Loretta (Ralph) Bagstad, Marie (Jerry) Johnson and Debbie Severson; and many nieces and nephews and friends.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Leonard “Sunny” and William “Billy” Rueckheim; his sisters, Evelyn Whitehead and Vivian Rueckheim; and a sister-in-law, Fern Rueckheim.
