Lyle E. “Pidge” Thomas, 60, of Tomah passed away unexpectedly Monday July 6, 2015, at the Spooner Hospital in Spooner, Wis.

He was born May 8, 1955, to Basil and Rose (Revels) Thomas in Hillsboro. Lyle proudly served in the United States Army.

Lyle was united in marriage to Linda Snyder on April 19, 1984, in Lake Geneva, Wis. Lyle loved farming and his red tractors. He also enjoyed riding his Harley and was known to many as “Motorcycle Lyle,” along with fishing, boating and spending time at the lake. More than anything, Lyle loved spending time with his family at the cabin. His grandchildren meant the world to him.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Thomas; a son, Darrell (Toni) Robertson; his grandchildren, Tristin, Tanner and Tayden; an adopted grandson, Max; his mother and stepfather, Rose and Vince Van Lue; his sisters, Patty (Lee) Meffert, Joann (Ron) Brueggeman, Laura Tralmer and Anita Bua; his brothers, Allen (Rose) Thomas and Neil (Heather) Van Lue; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Basil Thomas.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 11, at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah. Robert Orr will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Vernon Cemetery, Tomah.

Family and friends are invited for visitation from 4­–8 p.m. Friday, July 10, at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah.

Family and friends also are invited for visitation Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
