Christena I. Parr, 75, of Beloit, Wis., passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2010, in her home while surrounded by her loving family.
The daughter of Frank “Babe” and Olive “Ollie” (Parker) Revells, she was born Aug. 26, 1934, in Madison. Christena was a homemaker and enjoyed baking Christmas cookies and candy. She took great pleasure in feeding the birds, ducks and squirrels in her backyard. Christena lived for her grandchildren and “grate” grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Shelly (Larry) Williams-Roberts of Beloit, Bessie Hable of Janesville, Roger (Carol) Parr of Ontario, and Robbie (Brenda) Parr of Beloit; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; seven sisters, Shirley Franklin, Donna Curtis, Nancy Franklin, Carrie Franklin, Barbara Payton, Inez Franklin and her twin, Leona Waid; one brother, John Dewey Franklin; two beloved pets, Rascal and Coco; and many beloved friends.
She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Danny.
Memorial visitation will be from 1–3 p.m. Saturday, May 1, in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit.
