Timothy O’Rourke, 67, of Wilton died Friday, Sept. 10, 2010, on his land in the town of Wilton.

He was born Nov. 2, 1942, on the family farm near Kendall to Edward and Margaret (Sullivan) O’Rourke. Tim was a 1960 graduate of Wilton High School. After high school, he hauled milk and sheared sheep until purchasing his farm in 1965.

He was united in marriage to Marilyn Culver on Sept. 14, 1968, at Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Milwaukee. Tim farmed until 1982. He then worked as a welder for Mathy Construction Company for 25 years.

Tim was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Tomah Jaycees and Wilton Lions Club. He was a past director of AWSC and current supervisor for the Town of Wilton.

Tim loved spending time with family and friends near and far. He entertained anyone who stopped at the farm with his Irish wit. The grandchildren especially enjoyed Grandpa Tim’s adventurous Kubota rides.

He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Marilyn, and four children and eight grandchildren: Shannon (Carla) O’Rourke and their children Kari, Michael and Katie; Shelly (Rob) Lenzini and their children, Caitlyn, Megan and Robert; Kristi (Eric Preslaski) O’Rourke; and Patrick (Tawni) O’Rourke and their children, Cullen and Hanna.

He is further survived by his father-in-law, Ralph Culver; four brothers, James (Merry), Dennis, Duane (Rita) and Michael; six sisters, Annette (Stuart) Nehls, Kathleen (David) O’Rourke-Benjamin, Mary (Rex) Kiel, Carol (Robert) Schroeder, Margaret (Dean) Waege and Patricia (Lyle) Hawkey; one aunt, Ann Sullivan; a brother-in-law, Gary (Kaye) Goodman; five sisters-in-law, Susan O’Rourke and Bette O’Rourke, Theresa Uhrman, Marlene (Larry) Weber and Denise (Jeff) Zank; along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Alicia Goodman-O’Rourke; his mother-in-law, Mary Culver; and a nephew, Daniel O’Rourke.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 17, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Wilton. Father Richard Dickman will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Family and friends are invited for visitation at the church from 4–8 p.m. Thursday and from 9:30 a.m. until services Friday.
