Daniel “Dan” Keown, 63, of Hartford, Wis., died Thursday, Dec. 24, 2013, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Kentucky. He was born July 10, 1950, in Bethany, Ill., to the late Earnest Russell and Louise Huff Keown. He attended school in Kendall, Wis., and graduated from Royall High School in Elroy, Wis., in 1969. He worked as a cross-country truck driver and water plant operator in Illinois and Kentucky.
He also was preceded in death by a sister, Dora Keown Messmore of Sibley, Ill.; two infant sisters, Shirley Mae and Mary Evelyn; and a nephew, John Keown of Iowa.
He is survived by a daughter, Krista (Scott) Moll of Lafayette, Ind.; three brothers, Douglas (Pat) Keown of Bethany, Ky., Kenneth (Jean) Keown of Marshalltown, Iowa, and Ronald (Cathy) Keown of Walters, Okla.; one sister, Doris (Bruce) Krater of Reno, Nev.; 21 nieces and nephews; and many cousins, other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were Saturday at Newton Springs Cemetery in Fordsville, Ky. Geary Funeral Home, Fordsville, handled the arrangements.
