Dale A. Wallace, 59, formerly of the Norwalk and Ontario area, died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010, at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison.

He was born April 29, 1951, to Harold and Dorothy (Peters) Wallace in Sparta. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Wilton and served as an altar boy. Dale was a member of the Brookwood High School graduating class of 1969. He lived at the Little Falls Group Home in Cataract, Wis. He enjoyed being outdoors hunting.  He also enjoyed “living the farm life,” cutting wood, growing tobacco and milking cows. Dale always had a healthy appetite and enjoyed dinners out with his family.

He is survived by two sisters, Betty (Bernard) Arndt of Wilton and Alice (Henry) Strohmeyer of Camp Douglas; a brother, Duane (Carlene) of Norwalk; many nieces; a nephew; an aunt, Vera Kin; an uncle, Bill Peters; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Wilton. Father Richard Dickman will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church. The Smith-Nelson Funeral Home, Wilton, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
