Tyler George Pasch, 22, of Kendall died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010, at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, after a courageous, lifelong battle with cystic fibrosis.

He was born March 24, 1988, to Timothy and Erna (Birch) Pasch in Sparta. He was baptized April 24, 1988, and confirmed May 26, 2002, at St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Brookwood graduating class of 2006. He was an excellent cook at Dorset Valley Restaurant and was known for his lemon-peppered chicken and his pork chops.

He enjoyed the outdoors, especially when he was four-wheeling. Tyler had a love for pool and played often. He was a member of the EKHW-MOWN and Madison pool leagues. In 2009, he was the MVP for the Monday Night Tomah Pool League. He also competed in state and international pool tournaments. He had a contagious laugh and smile and a great sense of humor. On Aug. 7, 1996, Tyler was a recipient of a liver transplant; because of this transplant, he was able to enjoy 14 more years of life, a life that he made the most of and shared with his loving family and friends.

He is survived by his parents, Timothy and Erna of Kendall; a sister, April (fiancé Cody Karper) of Kendall; two brothers, Craig (Cristie) of Madison and Randy (Carol) of Ontario; a special friend, Chelsea Karper, and their daughter, Brooke Karper; his paternal grandmother, Joan, and a paternal great-grandmother, Laura Thompson, both of Kendall; a goddaughter, Teagan Pasch; and many uncle, aunts, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death his paternal grandpa, Gilbert “Gib” Pasch; his maternal grandparents, William and Wilma Birch; two cousins, Tobin Pasch and Chad Birch; and an uncle, Lester Pasch.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 20, at St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, South Ridge. Pastor Steven W. Neuman will officiate. Burial will be in South Ridge Lutheran Cemetery, town of Wellington. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 4–8 p.m. Sunday at the Smith-Nelson Funeral Home in Kendall and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
