Linda K. Brown, 65, of Sparta passed away July 18, 2013, at the Rolling Hills Rehabilitation Center in Sparta.
She was born Nov. 10, 1947, to Harry and Frieda (Ward) Atkinson in Boscobel, Wis. She was united in marriage to Larry Brown on July 9, 1965.
Linda worked at Kmart for many years as an assistant manager and later as a pharmacy tech. She enjoyed her work and made many friends. In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting and gardening. In her younger years, she was an avid reader. She also enjoyed painting artwork.
She is survived by her children, Kray (Amy) Brown of Nekoosa, Wis., and Cami Peterson of Madison; her grandchildren, Grace, Sam, Kyler, Kysen and Courtney; a sister-in-law, Marilyn Atkinson; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Frieda; her husband, Larry, in 2010; her brothers, Jerry and Herb; and a sister, Karen.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, at the Boscobel Cemetery in Boscobel, Wis. The Torkelson Page-Smith Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
