She was united in marriage to Earl Hendrickson at the West Prairie parsonage on Feb. 2, 1946. She is survived by her son, Kent (Barbara) Hendrickson of Ontario; and three grandchildren, Aaron (and wife Blaine) of Mazomanie, Wis., Caleb of Fitchburg, Wis., and Hannah of Ontario.
She is also survived by a brother, Glenn (Lois) Gardner of Viroqua, and three sisters, Burnelle (Sheldon) Olson and Verna Reed, both of Viroqua, and Ardith Hoff of Calmar, Iowa. A sister-in-law, Judy Hendrickson of La Crosse, also survives her, as do nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl, on May 28, 1981; and two sons, Mark, on July 6, 1970, and Ward, on May 4, 1957.
She was also preceded by a sister, Ada Gardner; three brothers-in-law, William Reed, Darrel Hoff, and Gerald Hendrickson; a sister-in-law, Lois Mary Hendrickson; and her parents-in-law, Louis and Inez (Newton) Hendrickson.
She was tenderly cared for in the home of Steve and Laura Groom from Nov. 1, 2010, until her death. The family wishes to express special thanks to Laura Groom and the staff of Vernon Memorial Hospice. The family also wishes to thank all who visited and sent cards during Geneva’s declining months.
