We have had several inquiries about radon testing at the library lately, and when we cannot answer your questions, we try to find someone who can. We are offering a program, “Regarding Radon”: What exactly is radon? Why it is important to learn about it? And how can you test for it?
Join us at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 1, for answers to your questions from Joy Krueger of the Monroe County Health Department and Nicole Frankfourth of the La Crosse County Health Department. As always, this program will be free, and radon test kits will be available from the health department for a small fee.

Our active homeschool group continues to meet from 2–4 p.m. on the second and fourth Fridays of the month. Its next gathering is March 8. The group has become so large that we will offer a second chance for homeschoolers to gather — 10–11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 13. It is the intention that this Wednesday group would help support families with younger children. To join in this cooperative effort, please contact the library.
