Wilton blood drive slated for July 30

Contributed by NALANI BEVER | Wilton blood-drive coordinator

It’s never too early to start preparing for the July 30 Wilton Community/Brookwood FFA Joint Blood drive. Here’s your list:

1)  Make an appointment by;

— going online to redcrossblood.org

— calling 1-800-733-2767 (Red Cross)

— call Nalani at (608) 387-2311

2) Eat iron-rich foods.

3) Eat iron-rich foods.

4) Eat iron-rich foods.

As in the past, summer means a severe blood shortage. Vacations, family reunions, festivals, and other more interesting events take precedence over taking the time (an hour) to donate a unit of blood.

The dedication of our donors has resulted in the Wilton Community/Brookwood FFA Joint Blood Drive being awarded the designation of Premier Blood Partner by the Red Cross. To maintain this designation, we will need to average 80 units at each of our next three drives. Our average for the first three drives of 2022 has been 62. So, you see, we really need your help.
