Vernon County Sheriff’s Report for July 9–15

Tuesday, July 10: David Miles of Viroqua stopped on Highway 56 in the town of Jefferson and waited to make a left turn into McClurg Lane. At the same time, Kallie Kilmer of Viroqua was traveling eastbound on Highway 56 when she looked down to grab her phone charger and struck the Miles vehicle in the rear. Kilmer’s vehicle was towed due to disabling damage. Neither driver reported injuries. 

Thursday, July 12: Kerry Huberty of De Soto was traveling northbound on Holt Road in the town of Wheatland and crossed the centerline around a curve. Huberty collided with a southbound vehicle driven by Trevor Rebhahn of De Soto. Neither Rebhahn, his passenger, nor Huberty reported injuries. Both vehicles were towed.

Friday, July 13: Kjome Excavating reported that about 18.6 gallons of diesel fuel had been stolen from its property in Viroqua the previous night.

• John Audetat of Ferryville, Wis., on Highway 14, town of Coon

• Karl Venner of La Farge, on Highway 56, town of Jefferson

• Kelli Welsh of Viroqua, on County Highway NN, town of Franklin

• Jeffrey Kjelland of Viroqua, on Highway 162, Town of Coon

• Darcie Manning of Stoddard, on Highway 35, De Soto
