Monday, Aug. 20: Gregory Mick of Lone Rock, Wis., was traveling northbound on Gilman Road in the town of Sterling when he heard a dump truck coming toward him on the gravel road. Mick moved to the shoulder of the road to allow the dump truck to pass. The shoulder of the road gave out, and Mick’s truck rolled onto its side, hit a group of trees, and then came to rest on the passenger side. Mick reported a possible injury, but was not transported to the hospital at the time of the accident. The truck was towed due to disabling damage.
Thursday, Aug. 23: Weston Kabat of Westby was traveling southbound on Vang Road in the town of Coon when he struck a cow. Kabat reported no apparent injuries. The cow did not survive.
