Monday, Oct. 12: Monroe County reports 42 new cases since Friday; Vernon County, 25; and Juneau County, 28 | Vernon, Juneau counties each report new Covid-19 death

 

Monroe County had 32 cases over the weekend and 10 today, bringing its total to 797, of which 154 are active (three are hospitalized), 637 have recovered, and three have died.

To date, 10,119 negative test results have been generated in Monroe County since the start of the pandemic.

The Vernon County Health Department was notified Oct. 12 of a woman in her 60s who passed away from complications of Covid-19.

It was the second death of a county resident. The woman was recovering at home.

“Our team would like to express our deepest condolences to family, friends, and those impacted by this loss of life,” noted the Vernon County Health Department.

Over the past three days, Vernon County has had 25 new cases of Covid-19, all of whom are recovering at home.

• Four males in their 20s

• Two males in their 30s

• Two males in their 40s

• A male in his 50s

• A male in his 60s

• Three females between 10–19 years old

• Two females in their 20s

• A female in her 30s

• A female in her 40s

• Four females in their 50s

• A female in her 60s

• Three females in their 70s

Of the county’s 371 total cases, 266 have recovered, four have been hospitalized, 89 are isolating at home, and two have died.

A fifth person has died from Covid-19 in Juneau County. No other information was available.

Also, the county had 28 new cases over the weekend and none today, bringing its total to 535, of which 116 are active (seven are hospitalized), 132 have been released from isolation, 282 have recovered, and five have died.
