Monroe County reported 38 new Covid-19 cases over the weekend and 14 today, resulting in a tally of 3,676, of which 135 are active (one is hospitalized), 3,514 have recovered, and 27 have died.

Vernon County reported its 37th Covid-19 death since the start of the pandemic. The resident was a woman in her 50s.

The health department stated, “Our team would like to express our deepest condolences to the family, friends and those impacted by this loss of life.”

Today, the county reported 12 new cases:

• A male between 0–9 years old who is recovering at home

• A male in his 20s who is recovering at home

• A male in his 30s who is recovering at home

• A male in his 60s who is recovering at home

• A male in his 70s who is recovering at home

• A female between 0–9 years old who is recovering at home

• Two females in their 30s who are recovering at home

• A female in her 50s who is recovering at home

• A female in her 80s who is hospitalized

Of the total 1,637 cases since the start of the pandemic, 1,503 have recovered, three are hospitalized, 93 are isolating at home, and 37 have died.

Juneau County reported 25 new cases over the weekend and five today, resulting in a tally of 2,030, of which 193 are active (eight are hospitalized), 244 have been released from isolation, 1,582 have recovered, and 11 have died.

Juneau County tracks its facility case separately from those in the county at large. At present, the Sand Ridge Secure Treatment Center has no active cases; it had reported 50 in all since the Dec. 3 start of the outbreak.

At the New Lisbon Correctional Institution, one inmate case is active, no one is hospitalized, and no new cases were reported today. The prison has had 543 cases since the Aug. 15 start of the outbreak.
