Saturday, Jan. 16, to Monday, Jan. 18: Monroe County has 38 new cases; Vernon County, 17 cases; and Juneau County, 46 cases and one death

Monroe County reported 27 new cases over the weekend and 11 today, bringing its tally to 3,814, of which 166 are active (three are hospitalized), 3,621 have recovered, and 27 have died.

Vernon County had 17 new cases, all of whom are recovering at home:

• A male between 0–9 years old

• A male in his 30s

• Two males in their 40s

• A male in his 50s

• A male in his 60s

• Two males in their 70s

• A female between 0–9 years old

• A female between 10–19 years old

• Five females in their 30s

• A female in her 50s

• A female in her 60s

Of the total 1,670 cases since the start of the pandemic, 1,579 have recovered, one is hospitalized, 53 are isolating at home, and 37 have died.

Juneau County today reported a Covid-19 death, its 14th since the start of the pandemic. No other information was available.

Also, Juneau County had 39 new cases over the weekend and seven today, resulting in a total of 2,143, of which 242 are active (11 are hospitalized), 188 have been released from isolation, 1,699 have recovered, and 14 have died.

Juneau County tracks its facility cases separate from those with the county at large. No new cases were record at either the New Lisbon Correctional Institution or the Sand Ridge Secure Treatment Center. Sand Ridge has no active cases, and the prison has one, an inmate who is not hospitalized.

Sand Ridge has had 50 cases since the Dec. 3 of an outbreak; and the prison, 544 since the Aug. 15 start of an outbreak.
