Rural Wilton home destroyed in fire

 

 

The Wilton Fire Department, the Wilton EMS, the Norwalk Fire Department and Monroe County police responded to a house fire at 25891 Minnesota Road in the town of Wellington on Thursday morning. The house was totally engulfed when firefighters got on the scene and is a total loss. Firefighters used about 18,000 gallons of water on the 30-by-45-foot, two-story log home. No one was injured, and the cause is still under investigation.
