Ontario Public Library to unveil new website

By LAURIE ERICKSON | Ontario Public Library director

Watch for a new look on our website. Assistant librarian Lauren West has been working hard on the site, and we are ready to roll it out. The web address will be the same, www.wrlsweb.org/ontario. The website will have links to access our catalog, Overdrive and WisCat, as well as news on events at the library.

The next playgroup will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 25. Children from 3–5 years old are invited to join us for stories, activities and crafts. The Norwalk-Ontario-Wilton Elementary School Preschool Options staff will present the program.

The book group will discuss “The Cuban Affair” by Nelson DeMille at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 9. Stop by the library for a copy if you would like to join the discussion.

Gale Courses are now available online for free. Go to http://education.gale.com/l-windingr to check out the many courses that are available and to register. These courses are provided by a grant through the Winding Rivers Library System.

A cookie sale just in time for Mother’s Day will be offered Friday, May 11, from 10 a.m. until gone. Buy the mother in your family a sweet treat and support the library.
