Affected by the flood? Share your story. The Driftless Writing Center’s “Stories from the Flood” project is partnering with libraries and local historical societies to help people affected by the floods record and share their stories. Our last story workshop in Ontario will be from 6–8 p.m. Tuesday, May 21.

Now is the time to reserve your spot for the annual Hat Luncheon. This benefit for the library will be at the Wilmer Pearson residence, 302 Park St. in Ontario, on Wednesday, June 26; Thursday, June 27; and Friday, June 28, at 12 p.m. each day. The menu will consist of a garden salad, herb-encrusted pork loin with raspberry sauce, wild-rice blend, glazed roasted carrots, dinner rolls, and lemon blueberry cheesecake.
The cost is $15, and reservations can be made by calling the library at 337-4651 or Wilmer Pearson at 337-4432.

The library will be closed Saturday, May 25, and Monday, May 27, for Memorial Day Weekend. Have a safe holiday weekend.

“A Universe of Stories!” is the theme for our summer reading program for children in kindergarten through sixth grade. Programs begin Wednesday, June 12, from 1–3 p.m. and continue each Wednesday through July 3. More information to come soon!
