The regular monthly meeting for the town of Ridgeville gave hope that the new cellular tower on County Highway U should have all of its equipment installed by the end of this month.
This knowledge had come only after Supervisor Ron Luethe had made a phone call asking about the progress of the services and when the public could expect them. He was informed by the representative at Bug Tussle that the company had forgotten about that tower.
Even after the equipment is installed, there is no timeline for when internet services will be available. After all of the towers in surrounding areas have been installed and connected, there will be public meetings about various options.
Luethe also learned that Cloud One LLC, which had built the tower, had sold it to another company, M3 Hilbert LLC, about six months ago.

• Board chair Keith Giraud explained he had been contacted by members from the Norwalk Sportsmen Club. They wish to work together, placing gravel sometime this spring, fixing the road where Kingfisher Road ends and then goes to the sportsmen club building. Board members discussed possibly helping out with equipment use but not with the purchase of gravel. All parties will work together to find the best possible solution.
• Road Patrolman Darron Martin gave his report, offering a proposal to purchase a sander for the town’s one-ton truck. He thought it would help when sanding and salting some of the smaller roads as well as save money in the future for the township. All trustees agreed and decided the next step in the process would be getting quotes.
• The next scheduled regular meeting will be at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10.
