N-O-W teacher to offer story time in Ontario

Norwalk-Ontario-Wilton Elementary School teacher Cassandra Pingel will host preschool story time from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, at the Ontario Public Library. Activities are designed for children from 3–5 years old, but younger and older siblings are welcome to attend as well.

Stop in the library and tell us why you love the library to earn an entry in our prize drawing. One entry per person. The drawing will be at 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28.

Join us for Friday Movie Night on Friday, Feb. 2, at 5:30 p.m. We’ll show “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood (PG),” in which Tom Hanks portrays Mister Rogers in a timely story of kindness triumphing over cynicism. This movie is based on the true story of a real-life friendship between Fred Rogers and journalist Tom Junod. Free admission, popcorn, and pop!

The next book-group selection is “The Good Neighbor: The Life and Work of Fred Rogers” by Maxwell King. Copies can be checked out at the circulation desk. The book group will meet at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, to discuss the selection. New members are always welcome.
