The Monroe County Health Department will offer free COVID-19 bivalent booster vaccines at the following locations:

• 4–6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17 — Cashton Community Hall, 811 Main St.

• 5–7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28 — Norwalk Village Hall, 208 Church St.

Available bivalent vaccines include Pfizer for those 12 and older and Moderna for those 6 and older. If interested in a COVID-19 vaccine for anyone ages 6 months-plus, visit the Monroe County Health Department office, 315 W. Oak St., Sparta, on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The office will be closed Nov. 25.

The CDC recommends that everyone 5 and older get a COVID-19 bivalent booster if it has been at least two months since their last COVID-19 vaccine, whether that was their final primary series dose or an original (monovalent) booster. People who have gotten more than one original (monovalent) booster are also recommended to get an updated (bivalent) booster.

Bring your COVID-19 vaccination card with you to your appointment. Anyone younger than 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
