Monroe County Sheriff’s Report

Sunday, March 15: Shaylin Schreiner, 20, of Onalaska and Aaron Brownell, 19, of La Crosse both sustained injuries in a vehicle crash that occurred on County Highway PC, near Odessa Avenue in Cashton. The investigation found that the vehicle, which Schreiner had been driving, was traveling in excess of 90 mph before leaving the roadway and rolling.

Monday, March 16: After a traffic stop, Jessica Guerrra, 29, and Benesa Guerra, 33, both of La Crosse, were arrested for two counts of bail jumping a piece and obstructing an officer. During the stop, the two gave each other’s name while being questions by deputies.  They did so because Guerra had a revoked license but had been driving.

Monday, March 23: Alva Lamb, 62, of Tomah was arrested for domestic-related disorderly conduct after an argument with a family member.

A special note from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office:

For all of us, COVID-19 has caused a number of precautions to be put in place that have changed how we live, work, and play.  Here at the sheriff’s office, it is no different.  We have been finding creative ways to still ensure that we are engaging with and making our communities a safe place to live. We are, however, taking precautions to limit face-to-face contact when possible.

Remember to follow us on Facebook for more information related to our response to COVID-19.

Also, know that just because we encourage all to social distance, that doesn’t mean you need to be socially disconnected. Stay home and stay healthy, Monroe County.
