Letter to the editor: Vote Jessi Ebben Aug. 11

By JOHN CHRISTY | Sparta

In the Aug. 11 primary elections, the candidates will be selected to be the party nominees for Representative from Wisconsin’s 3rd Congressional District. In the Democratic primary, the incumbent Ron Kind is being challenged for the nomination.

In the Republican primary, there are only two candidates after six other potential candidates withdrew or failed to get on the ballot. Jessi Ebben, a public relations professional from Eau Claire, appears to be the much better candidate for many reasons and will have my vote. She has lived in western Wisconsin much of her life and has a better sense of the concerns and needs of 3rdDistrict citizens. She has worked with and for local governments, which gives her a personal and professional perspective of local government activities. Being a public relations professional, she knows how to communicate effectively, and this includes listening! She is pro-life, supports the 2nd Amendment, backs law enforcement and other first responders, and can be considered a strong Constitutionalist.

Endorsements seem to be making the news in this election contest, and Jessi Ebben has numerous endorsements from sheriffs, mayors, state legislators, and other elected community leaders from throughout the 3rdDistrict. She is also endorsed by state and national pro-life organizations and three conservative U.S. Congressmen.

Jessi Ebben is the better candidate in the Republican Primary for Congress and deserves your support on Aug. 11 and again in the general election in November.
