Letter to the editor: The minority now rules

By KAY ZIEGAHN | Richland Center

Don’t be fooled: The government that bans abortion can also force you to have an abortion if they decide the country is becoming overpopulated. Remember China’s “one-child policy”? They could also force all men of a certain age to have a vasectomy or outlaw same-sex marriage, which has already been hinted at. If only we could force a few men to be raped and have to bear the resulting children! One wonders if Clarence Thomas might have a problem if banning multiracial marriage is also discussed?

Mighty Wilton has struck out. I always thought Wilton was run well and had a lot to offer, was a town sought after as a place to live, was a town where people got along. But then every town has issues that all can’t seem to agree on — right now it’s the swimming pool in Wilton.

Letter to the editor: This isn’t about you

In the late ‘40s and ‘50s, polio disabled about 35,000 people a year, most of whom were children. My cousin Anita, who contracted polio when she was 2, was one of the lucky ones because it only affected her left leg. Others we knew weren’t so lucky.
