Letter to the editor: Every successful abortion takes the life of a real person

By MICHAEL T. GJEFLE | Ontario

You mentioned cruelty in your Nov. 21 Backtalk. No cruelty can compare with the brutality of legalized abortion. In America alone, more than 60 million babies have lost their lives in the name of “choice.” Torn apart a limb at a time or burned … as we consider the matter of human cruelty, every successful abortion takes the life of a real person. We have raised our children and are now watching our grandchildren enter this world, and life must come through the womb.

The book “Won by Love” is a must read for everyone. It is the life story of Jane Roe (Roe v. Wade) in which the Supreme Court ruled to make abortion legal. Jane Roe was Norma McCorvey. The book “Won by Love” is her story and is fascinating. If you would like a copy, order it on Amazon, or I would gladly let you borrow my copy.

Also, speaking of books, read Ronald Reagan’s short book, “Abortion and the Conscience of a Nation.” Thank you!
