Movie night is back!  March movie night will be Friday, March 19, at St. John’s Church fellowship hall in Kendall.  The movie “Iron Will” (PG) will be shown at 6:30 p.m.

“Iron Will” is based on a true story and is an adventure of a young man’s entry into a dog sled race from Canada to Minnesota to try to win a prize to save his family from financial ruin.  Free pop and bagged popcorn/chips will be available. Everyone is welcome.  Social distancing will be observed, and face masks are encouraged.

As noted in last week’s issue of the County Line, our library was awarded a grant to help promote a better understanding of East Asia countries.  In addition to purchasing library materials that meet this goal, we will have a special group that will read the book “Seven Years in Tibet” by Heinrich Harrer, conduct a book discussion around this title, and participate in a program on China.  If you are interested in joining this group or have questions, please call the library at 463-7103, or stop in to sign up.  Meeting times have not yet been determined, but will not happen until late April or early May.

After several months off, our book club is again active.  Due to the large number of members, we are meeting in three sections to keep our groups small.  Our March book is “N is for Noose” by Sue Grafton.  We will meet Tuesday, March 30, at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.  If you would like to join us, stop by or call the library to arrange to get a book.
