The Kendall Public Library’s next movie night will be Friday, Sept. 18, 6:30 p.m. at St. John’s fellowship hall.

The movie will be “Leap Year” (it’s appropriate since 2020 is a leap year — leaping over 2020 may have been a better idea!). “Leap Year” is rated PG. When Anna’s (Amy Adams) four-year anniversary to her boyfriend passes without an engagement ring, she decides to take matters into her own hands, inspired by an Irish tradition that allows women to propose to men on Leap Day.

Free pop and chips will be available at the movie.

On a sad note, one of the charter members of our Sit ‘n Knit knitting group, Kendall resident Becky Haney passed away Aug. 21. Besides knitting, Becky was an avid reader and supporter of our library. She will be missed. Our sympathy goes out to her husband, Dale, and the rest of her family.
