These are the happenings at the Kendall meal site for December:
The St. John’s Lutheran Ladies’ Aid will not meet this month, as its members have other church obligations.
We are excited to host the Kendall Card Club Christmas party on Tuesday, Dec. 10. A great time will be had by all. Perhaps we might even have an unexpected visitor!
We would like to wish Pat Stratman a happy birthday Friday, Dec. 13. She will host the birthday club Wednesday, Dec. 17. We would also like to wish Joanne Reardon and Elaine St. Claire a happy December birthday.
Due to the Christmas holiday, we will not host bingo this month.
Our group of senior instrumental musicians will entertain Friday, Dec. 20. We are pleased to see some new faces in the group. As always, we have a great time, and I’m sure you will enjoy them. The group plays gospel, bluegrass and country. All musicians are vocalists and are amazing! We eat lunch at about 11:30 a.m., but the musicians start playing around 10 a.m., so come early. We even do a little dancing!
There is a free service available for seniors in need of medical equipment such as hospital beds, commodes, shower chairs, and walkers. These items are available to seniors at no charge. They just ask that the items be returned when no longer needed. For more information, call Helen Milne at 462-5675.
Remember to call the meal site two days ahead if you would like to join us for lunch. We do appreciate our regular participants but would love to see some more new faces. We have very good, nutritious meals and good conversation. Beginning in January, meal prices will increase to $4.
I would like to wish everyone a merry Christmas and happy New Year. We hope Santa will be good to everyone!
