If you are in Kendall, check out the crayon-carrying truck that is in one of our library windows.
Kendall resident Kale Kvistad is making these trucks to send to children in Ukraine whose lives have been turned upside down by the Russian invasion into their country. In addition to holding crayons, the trucks come with a ruler, a scissors, an eraser, pencils and a sharpener.
Kale’s goal is to make 200 of these trucks, and donations are being accepted at the library to help complete this project. The Kendall American Legion is helping Kale with this project.

For August, we are doing something a little different for our book club. Each member will read a biography of their choice. We have lots of biographies to choose from, but we can also request ones from other libraries.
In August, we will meet Tuesday, Aug. 30, at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. If you have not ever joined us but would like to hear about lots of different people, plan on coming to one of our August book club meetings.
