The October book-club books are ready to be picked up at the Kendall Public Library. We will read and discuss Larry Levin’s book “Oogy: The Dog Only a Family Could Love.” We will meet Tuesday, Oct. 26, to discuss the book. Meetings will be at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Come to whichever time best fits your schedule. If you would like to join us, stop by to get signed up and to get this month’s book.

We were saddened to discover that the round metal table and two chairs that we had in front of the library each summer had disappeared. If you have any information as to where they have gone, please let us know.

The La Crosse Public Library is sponsoring a sweater knitting/crocheting project to help keep young Afghans who are at Fort McCoy warm this winter. We have a few patterns available in our library, or use one of your own. All sweaters need to be turned into our library by Tuesday, Oct. 26. The sweaters will then be taken to La Crosse Public Library to be delivered to Fort McCoy by the first week in November.
