Jarrett “Peanut” Fredrick Luethe, 26, a young husband and father of Sparta, formerly of Norwalk, passed away in a tragic car accident in New Prague, Minn.

Jarrett was born June 21, 1991, in Sparta to Terry “Flintsky” Luethe and Charlotte Fields Byrdlong. Jarrett grew up in Norwalk and graduated from Brookwood High School in 2009. This is where the love story began. Jarrett met his soul mate and best friend, Kelly Giese. Kelly was instantly fascinated with his genuine kindness to everyone, his big heart, and his adorable freckles. They were married Sept. 10, 2016, at Gloria Dei Church in Tomah.

Jarrett was such a hard worker and great provider for his family. His wife Kelly and his children, Ashton, Kennedi, and baby to be born in January 2018, meant the world to Jarrett. He was excited about how his life was going and the coming new addition to his family. He was so kind and willing to help people and he is still helping people after he passed away because he was an organ donor.

Jarrett worked in construction and loved his job. This trade began while working with his dad Terry. He later began working with Ames Construction Company, where he recently learned that he was being promoted to foreman. Jarrett was proud of being part of the crew that worked on the construction of the new I-90 bridge from La Crosse to Dresbach.

Jarrett was a true friend to everyone. He had a special bond with his grandfather, Fredrick “Fritz” Luethe, who had no qualms letting everyone know Jarrett was his favorite. He loved his time spent with his family and friends, playing pool, which he excelled at. Jarrett was also a great beanbags player and of course loved his Sundays watching the Packers. Jarrett enjoyed competing on Draft Kings and on one occasion he was seconds away from winning a lot of money — but he didn’t.

He always looked forward to fishing adventures on the Red Cedar River with his buddy Cody Fish. Jarrett and his brother Josh had a special relationship and bond. Jarrett treasured any time that they could spend together.

Jarrett is survived by his wife, Kelly; his children, Ashton, Kennedi and baby Luethe due in January 2018; his father, Terry “Flint” Luethe of Norwalk; his mother, Charlotte (Harold) Byrdlong Jr. of Eau Claire; his brothers and sisters, Josh (Laura) Luethe, Mindy (Travis) Scholze, Terri Ann Luethe, Kelile and Bakari Moore, Kyle (Cassie) Cunitz, Alisha (Ken) Hummel, Bryan and Jahnari Byrdlong, Kenyatta (Orin) Sampson; a special friend, Cody (Carly) Fish; Kelly’s parents, Dan and Diana Giese of Ontario; his grandmother, Doris Luethe of Norwalk; Kelly’s grandmother, Jane Giese of Sparta; along with many other relatives and good friends.

Jarrett was preceded in death by his grandfather, Fredrick “Fritz” Luethe; other grandparents, Charlene (Dale) Stafford and LeRoy (Fran) Fields; and an uncle, Richard Fields.
