Vernon County today reported its first death from Covid-19, plus it had 17 new cases over the weekend.
The person who died was a man in his 70s who had been hospitalized. The health department said it would not release any more information to protect the family’s privacy.
The new cases, all of whom are recovering at home, are the following:
• Four females between 10–19 years old
• Two males in their 20s
• A female in her 30s
Two females in their 40s
• Three females in their 50s
• A male in his 60s
• Two females in their 60s
• A female in her 70s
• A male in his 70s
The county’s total now is 175, of which 135 have recovered, none are hospitalized, and 39 are recovering at home.
