The Monroe County Safe Communities Coalition will host a community conversation on methamphetamine addiction from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 2, at the board assembly hall at the Monroe County Justice Center in Sparta.

The conversation is open to is concerned about methamphetamine use in Monroe County and has ideas oneducating people about the drug or how laws, policies, or ordinances could be changed or added to improve the situation.

According to the Monroe County Safe Communities Coalition, methamphetamine use increased by 462 percent in Wisconsin between 2010 and 2017.
